digital cameras for the heavily textured works. Simply the

Giclee on Fine Art Paper:
a hand-signed limited edition of 195, faithfully matching
the color vibrancy and every detail
of the original work and
echoing the textures and brushstrokes; requires framing under
glass.
They can be/may be "remarqued",
a small sketch in artist pencil in the margin that is improvised
at the time of signing and relative to the subject of the
painting.
Giclee on Canvas:
a hand-signed and sealed fine art
reproduction on canvas
faithfully matching the color and detail
of the original work and
echoing the textures and brushstrokes by being on high quality
canvas.
Acrylic Painting on Giclee Canvas:
a painting done over, on top of, a fine art reproduction on canvas to
heavily embellish, explore, alter, expand and enhance the work.
It is a unique painting, signed and dated, priced less than an
original painting. This is by special order.
Giclee is a French word meaning, "a spraying of ink" (pronounced
"zhee-clay"). This is a new and advanced process for
creating high quality fine art using digital photography and
large-scale printers.
The attainable quality that giclee printmaking affords makes the
reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original
artwork.
Giclee print-making derives its quality from its
seemingly "dotless" imaging technology in contrast to
traditional fine art prints which rely on printing screen
pattern dots to reproduce full-range color. Because dot patterns
are detectable by eye, it is less desirable than giclees.
Traditional prints are typically restricted to paper – not what
the original artwork was created on, especially when reproducing
acrylic on canvas. The giclee process enables duplication on
virtually the same media as the original artwork whether it is
on canvas, textured watercolor paper, or specialty fine art
papers.
The result is the wide acceptance of high
quality giclees by
artists, galleries, museums, and private collectors as the
professional best.
